please call us Thank you
Yes we do. I have no idea why David berman says we don't. I do not know who David is and he has absolutely no connection to Oyster Boy
Varies by region and size. Normally around $45-55. Amazing selection and quality, you will not be disappointed.
Yes!
Stopped by here at the recommendation of a good friend of mine. This place was fantastic. The service was great and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. They took the time to explain the menu in a short and sweet way. The food came out fairly timely and was amazingly delicious. Ordered the baked oysters (super hot in temp) which were delicious along with the lobster mac and cheese among other items which were all prepared amazing. The restaurant decor was very nice and welcoming. Its a small place but definitely requires a reservation because it gets busy! Alot of the tables are close to each other so it's a little tight.
Went on a date here last night, wonderful casual oyster bar with many various oysters ranging in size exquisite delicacies. I also tried their Thai curry steamed mussels which were amazing. They have many other options of seafood as well. Lobster, clams etc.
Have wanted to come here for a long time. Hard to reserve day before or same day. We decided to come 5 pm upon opening. Awesome experience loved everything about the place. Recommend bar seating and watching the shucking. Megan is a shucking pro. We're still at the bar as I write this review. Place is chill.
This place has awesome service as well as yummy meals. One of the best spot around town. The drinks and food served quick and the rates were economical. I recommend this place.
We eat here on many of our anniversaries and it always delivers the goods. Last night we had the caviar with a vodka shot during happy hour (5-7). The oysters, as always, were so fresh and yummy. Even the oyster sauces were good enough to eat on their own. My wife got the chowder which was stunning. I got the calamari which was in a rich butter sauce unlike any way I'd ever seen them served before. It was fantastic. Even my beer (a Munich dark lager) and my wife's Ceaser were exceptional. This is a tradition I look forward to continuing.
fresh oysters and not too expensive. the non-oyster dishes are well-made as well. I found the nicoise salad particularly good. friendly, unpretentious staff. the space is warm but pretty tight.
Awesome atmosphere and very welcoming service. The food was fresh and delightful. Will definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. Fair rates and generous portions. Great job.
Oyster boy is truly a gem. Smaller restaurant with a very casual feel. Their oysters are the freshest in the city and they have a good selection of seafood. If you are a seafood lover, this place is a must. Their lobster mac & cheese is unreal and has good size chunks of lobster. Their fish tacos are amazing and huge / full of flavour. Big seafood lovers should try their mixed grill platter. Service is usually average to good.
Great oysters (really good) and wine selection. Kale salad is great. I didn’t like a few other dishes but it could be the style in which they were prepared (grilled seafood is generally a bit too boring for me). They don’t have enough seating and the serving speed is slow
Delicious oysters and appetizers. Large portions for the mussels, clams, and salad. Would recommend!
Super nice ... (Mark) gave me a free oyster book cause I had too many questions. Can't wait to eat in to learn more
Came here with my friends and we enjoyed ourselves. The food was on the salty side, we were all super thirsty at the end. The chowder was delicious, the clams were our favourite. I highly recommend the clams!
Delicious range of seafood and especially the range of local oysters. Staff are relatively well versed in their suggestions, but service was average. Overall, top points for the food, the freshness and the taste. Definitely will come back when I'm after seafood which is closer than St Lawrence Market.
Cute and cozy space to enjoy some quality oysters! The evening coves were the size of my hand but still interesting to try! Loved the kusshis.
Thanks so much for the Oysters. Super fresh and high quality. Such an amazing restaurant. Cant wait to come back when it reopens. God bless
A cozy and charming east coast style restaurant. Many varieties of fresh oysters, both from the east and west coast. I’m house made shallot vinaigrette, hot pepper purée, and cocktail sauce complement the oysters and enhance the symphony of flavours. My guest likened the experience to pure joy. They also have a full kitchen with more cooked items as well. I highly recommend Oyster Boy!
Great place, nice service. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The crispy crab cake was light and fluffy. Seafood chowder was hearty and flavourful. The steak in the steak frites wasn't the best cut but still pretty good. Loved the fries, nice and crispy. I would come back for more.
Oysters are my passion. That's why I like to visit this place. The service is also passionate.
Great oyster and seafood restaurant along W Queen Street. There is a great lively vibe about this place and that really helps set the mood for a great experience! Our server made some great recommendations on some oysters and I enjoyed a mixed dozen. All were good with a few stand-outs!For dinner I had the scallops (pictured) and my wife had a wonderful cod fish and chips meal! My older daughter had the same. My younger had a bowl of pasta - hey, whatever works! We found the service to be quite good - seemed that a couple of waitresses were serving us but that was fine and nothing was amiss.... Final thoughts - this is a smaller restaurant so I would recommend making reservations especially for groups larger than 5 or 6. There were 4 in our party but other larger groups had a significant wait.
Had trays and trays of oysters. Had a good time. Different choices of baked and raw. I have had better and fresher for sure. But will return if in the area.
Delicious! The staff was very attentive and took the time to give us suggestions/explain the oysters to us. They were delicious, I especially enjoyed the kushi oysters. The chowder was delicious as was the bouillabaisse. I will definitely be visiting again soon
Oyster Boy is a classic in the Toronto restaurant scene. The menu hasn’t changed much in 20 years and if truth be told it doesn’t need to. The passion of every shucker is amazing and their knowledge is massive. I learn something new each and every time. Go in for the best and freshest oysters from around the world but do not miss the seafood platter loaded with the best of the season. I am in Iove with their wife wine steamed clams and the ceviche is to swoon over.
My go to oyster place ! Been visiting this restaurant over the years. I only come here for oysters. Their oysters are always fresh. But i've also tried their desserts before. Their desserts are okay but nothing special. My average spending per night is about $200. That's how much I love oysters. Oysters are always a hit. The service is a hit or a miss. The owners not particularly friendly though. Nice place for oysters. There's parking conveniently located along the road sides in front of the restaurant.
Went here on a Saturday evening and the food was spectacular, very highly recommend! The oysters were phenomenal, best I've had in the city. The lady shucking the oysters at the bar, Megan, was very knowledgeable about the different types of oysters. Service was amazing and the scallops/shrimp were cooked to perfection.
Amazing seafood, great selection and good service. Went for a late lunch/early dinner. Started with oysters. They were fresh and flavorful. Server was very knowledgeable and recommended options based on our preferences. For our meal, we chose to share the charcuterie board (seafood and cheese) and the lobster mac and cheese. Both were delicious, but too much food for just two people. Will certainly go back the next time we are in town. The place is small, so make reservations if you don't want to wait.
I visit this place a lot since I work in the area. I love how their customer service is always great and they keep the place neat at all times. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.
Their rating is well deserved ... had a selection of oysters based on the servers recommendation - bang on what we asked for - followed by the fish n chips... to die for. Best fish n chips we’ve ever had. Tasty without being cloying or heavy, fresh cod inside, amazing lightly spiced julienne style fries and the best tartar... I wanted to Lusk the plate. Wow. And the space was really nice...
Wow these oysters are delicious. Definitely get a dozen of the malpeque’s. They come with three different sauces which are fun to try. The fish tacos were flavorful and filling as well. Clam chowder had a great amount of seafood and flavor.
Good restaurant to go for breakfast, friendly staff. I am a regular visitor to this place :)
Every Christmas I pick up a tray of oysters from Oyster Boy. It's a tradition we started several years ago. We are never disappointed. Oyster Boy is a great little neighbourhood restaurant, unpretentious attitude and great food.
A small, intimate restaurant. They have spectacular, fresh seafood. The oysters are obviously the best, but dont worry the rest of the menu is wonderful.
Amazing mixed grill, all the seafood is cooked perfectly. Of course excellent Oysters as well, the server made excellent recommendations based on types we have enjoyed in the past.
We had the most wonderful oyster and lobster boil meal delivered last night. 60 carefully shucked oysters were perfection and I honestly don't think I have ever had a better lobster. The sides were incredible (corn, devilled eggs, kale Caesar salad, biscuits, fries and dessert!). We don't drive so for a small fee all was delivered to our door. It was truly an incredible feast. Highly recommend everyone spoil themselves like this once in a while if you love oysters and lobster like we do!!!
Delicious Oysters and My Favorite veg Braised Brussels sprouts and Mushrooms ever!! Fish Tacos also to die for. Very knowledgeable staff.
Loved the food here, we got a dozen oysters that were raw as well as some deep fried. So delicious! The calamari is SOOOOO GOOD aswell don't just think that this place only has oysters it has a bunch of delicious seafood!
Great place. Nice service. Great food
Staff was amazing, food was fresh, fries are to die for and i dont even like fries.
I love oyster boy and its unpretentious coastal seafood vibe. I've been coming in for years and it's an absolute staple for some of the best oysters in Toronto. Service is warm and laid back but definitely knowledgable with regards to their shellfish. Wines are very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!
You folks should order their Mixed Grill, an awesome combination of fresh seafood, king crab, and opitional side dish of fries or house salad. Not to mention their refreshing oysters, varying from many origins. The atmosphere is chilling. The staff is friendly and helpful. Try for yourself this summer!
Easily one of the best casual restaurants in Toronto. Highly recommended. Geniun product focus and motivated staff.
A great atmosphere for a cozy Date setting or special occasion. I loved the selection of raw oysters the server brought out for us. This was our first time at the restaurant and we were unsure of which ones to choose. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable. There were so many items on the menu we wanted to try, so we ended up getting a few things to share. It was enough food for two people. Overall a great experience and we shall be coming back!
Great oysters and very friendly staff. Cascumpec oysters are my new favorite! A little pricey but they have to be some of the best in town
Extremely fresh oysters! They have a smaller menu but the food is amazing. The fish and chips, grilled calamari, seafood risotto, and mac and cheese were delicious.
If you're looking for fresh seafood, oyster boy is definitely the place to do it!Other than being know for the major (if not the only) supplier for oysters for restaurants in Toronto, they also serve fresh fish and other seafoods at their small yet charming restaurant.Hands down my favourite is their mixed grilled seafood platter, which comes in a huge scallop shell metal plate and filled to the brim with scallops, king crab, shrimp, mussels, grilled fishing calamari and tasty fries. Yum!They also do a half shot vodka and caviar special for $5, a steal if you ask me.Check out @instantonium on Instagram for more great eats
Took my folks there on a Saturday at 3:30pm. We were warned that there was a reservation coming in at 5:00pm. Didn't realize how quickly if fills up. So make a reservation.Firstly, the oysters. They have a very unique and varied selection on hand, including Newfoundland. The selection we received were expertly shucked. In fact, they were best I have ever seen and tasted. I could have devoured them by the hundreds.Regarding the hot food, the chowda and crab cakes were stand out. The fish taco, however, was a little bland and under seasoned. The same was true for the Thai mussels. That being said, I plan on being back soon.
This place never dissapoints. I have been here 6 times and each time I have left satisfied. The oysters are always fantastic and the menu is full of delicious seafood options. Definitely one of the go to places in Toronto for oysters.
I had a great time at Shuck University leaning to shuck oysters and many did they taste good. They had 3 different sauces to use. I had only had the traditional cocktail sauce, I really like the habanero, but loved the red wine dip.
Fabulous, fabulous and absolutely fabulous. I love this restaurant. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially for a Saturday. Every time I go, they just keep out doing themselves. Their Calamari is off the charts amazing! My server a couple if Saturday's ago was Miles. I have to give a big shout out for her and the whole teams friendliness and wonderful service. I wish I could dine here every night.😋
Great place if you're looking for oysters or good seafood. Oysters were fresh, great recommendations from the waitress. The clam chowder is packed full of seafood and their Bouillabaisse was delicious.
Quick easy delivery on large quantity of oysters, easy to talk to staff thats attentive to how you store your oysters prior to serving. Also they take their health & safety measures seriously staying 6 feet apart and wearing PPE upon delivery, I would recommend to anyone looking to add oysters to their party!
